RMC: FIFA and US Launch 'FIFA Pass' to Offer Visa Streamlining for 2026 World Cup Fans

In a major organizational step ahead of the 2026 World Cup, FIFA and the United States government have introduced the 'FIFA Pass' system to offer visa application convenience for ticketed fans, RMC Sport reports.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, secured concessions from the U.S. government, resulting in the creation of the FIFA Pass. Both Infantino and Trump confirmed that fans who purchase match tickets will receive streamlined processing when applying for their U.S. visas, primarily through faster appointment scheduling for visa interviews.

Infantino stated in Washington: "The US welcomes the whole world. We have always said this will be the most beautiful and inclusive World Cup in history, and the FIFA Pass service is a very concrete example of this."

Senior U.S. government officials, including the Secretary of State, confirmed the new initiative. They announced that the U.S. will offer priority booking slots for fans to complete their visa interviews and prove their eligibility.

The U.S. government did issue a reminder, however: despite the launch of the FIFA Pass, a match ticket does not automatically guarantee visa approval. With 11 U.S. cities set to host matches, including the final on July 19th, the initiative is designed to ensure a smooth entry for the passionate global fanbase.
